Preserving the Islamic identity

A Muslim’s personality should be built on the basis of the Islamic values and concepts conducive to creating an independent nation that is far from being influenced by other nations. The Muslim nation should be proud of its identity as it is rooted in such high values as Allah the Exalted warned against the Muslim nation being submitted to others as He said in the Holy Quran: (O you who have believed, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies, extending to them affection while they have disbelieved in what came to you of the truth, having driven out the Prophet and yourselves [only] because you believe in Allah, your Lord. If you have come out for jihad in My cause and seeking means to My approval, [take them not as friends]. You confide to them affection, but I am most knowing of what you have concealed and what you have declared. And whoever does it among you has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.) Allah the Exalted also said : (If they gain dominance over you, they would be to you as enemies and extend against you their hands and their tongues with evil, and they wish you would disbelieve.) The enemies of Islam wish to turn Muslims away from Islam so that they become disbelievers hence Muslims should be fully awakened and keen on being a leading influential nation that is glorified by the sublimity and greatness of Allah the Almighty.
